How I can get myself to get rid of this! Please help … I mean …?
Long Long Long story short … My mother was a hoarder … I picked up this "habit" of "buy two because you will not find the price of this new and you will have another in hand if the first is broken …" etc. Also I have this need to "Collect" what I like … This means I have a huge collection of Pokemon and Hello Kitty stuff stuff and stuff and random things Anime Plush as pious and Pez dispensers, Invader Zim stuff … I do crafts and jewelry art … So I have baskets full of just random little things I dare not get rid of … All these things can only end in my messy desk and put in boxes in a lot … I need to dispose of this material, but for the life of me, I can not convince me to get rid of the Pokemon collectible plastic figures and other things that make my space is just a nightmare. Does anyone else has gone through this? What do you recommend to help me these things make me mourn here without remorse …
My father likes to keep things forever ("by case "), so I sympathize. He spent some of that to me too. When I have too much to go through all this and put the things that have not used in more a year in a heap. Then sort through that pile and are divided into things that I like to give (to friends, family, charity) and other things that I think worth little money. Things worth the money you can sell on Ebay or a consignment store if you have one near you. What else can be given to someone who really need it (or if your Pokemon things, someone who really likes and enjoys it). In general, the idea that money coming in and the happiness that someone could get from my donation is enough to override any sadness of separation from those things. Good luck!
