Many people think that museums are boring. They are full of all that old stuff and if you want to know what something is, then you have to read. Boring! So for those seeking an alternative to the same old lesson, "the story in a building" which comes from the majority of visitors to traditional museums, which offer these five fun, weird and wacky museums.
1. The Museum of Bad Art – Located in Dedham Square, outside Boston, is a shrine to all things trite and wrong in the world of art. Emphasizing that it is not incompetence, it notes the website of the museum, its collection is "the work of artists talents that have gone awry to works of exuberant, although crude, execution by artists barely in control of the weed. 5. The Historical Torture Museum – The exhibit in San Francisco, this museum explores the various instruments of torture used throughout the life of man. Learn more than you want to know about Iron Maiden, the club, Inquisitonal Chairs, Heretic and Branks Forks.
Honorable Mention: The National Museum of Health and Medicine – I sense a cover-up here. The name sounds boring and trie site to fool with this dry description … The museum houses a collection of more than 24 million items including archival materials, anatomical and pathological parts, medical instruments and artifacts, and microscope slide collections in medical research.
What they should say is … View deformed fetuses and birth defects, cuts Abraham Lincoln's skull and anatomical most morbid curiosities. That is really what this museum.
